One day we really would like to be able to welcome you to Brokeback Mountain in Vermont. The problem is....there is no Mountain in Vermont with that name....YET!

Since you're probably wondering what our website is all about....here's our short story....

We saw the movie Brokeback Mountain. We loved it! We saw it again and loved it even more. We saw it still again and were hooked. It was an extraordinarily beautiful love story between two human beings that touched the hearts and lives of millions of people around the world.

One day it occurred to us that Vermont has many, many mountains. Most of them do not have an official name. So, we got to thinking. Since Vermont is the coolest state, full of open-minded people, why shouldn't we have our own Brokeback Mountain (minus the cowboys)?

It is important to understand that Brokeback Mountain does not exist except in the minds and hearts of the millions of people that saw and fell in love with the movie. Our idea to name one of our Mountains after Brokeback is not an attempt to become THE Brokeback Mountain from the movie. It is not an attempt to suggest that our Mountain here in Vermont could even resemble or carry the memories that the movie created. Our goal is simply to dedicate our mountain as a eternal tribute to a movie that changed so many lives for the better. If Vermont had it's own Brokeback Mountain, this would be the ultimate acknowledgment of gratitude, respect and admiration for the movie, it's author and actors as well as to the concept of love between two people, no matter what their sex. The movie, Brokeback Mountain, was able to bring this concept in front of the world like no other movie has ever been able to do. For that, we will be forever grateful.

After the movie?

I wish I had a good response for that, but I am just empty.

After her driving style.

Okay, my personal life is such that I am a little slow to pick up the true sarcasm in this... Forgive me, but I'm picking up that this is a joke, but what exactly is the punch line??? Is there something going on in Vermont that I am unaware of?

After her driving style.
You have never ridden with me. I am a great driver! It's my husband who's scary.

Nothing other than it being probably one of the more "homosexual-friendly", shall we say, states - kind of like San Francisco East. So it's not really that shocking. I think the state flag has a rainbow on it.

Ah...I figured it was something like that, but wondered if there was something more.
